Expand Your Horizons

There may not be much of a quad (although we think you'll find Washington Square Park to be a lot more lively than you average everyday college quad), but the opportunities for learning at NYU are virtually limitless. New York is, of course, a world center for business, law, publishing, international affairs, and the arts, and the city is very much an NYU classroom.

At NYU, over 80 percent of undergraduates hold part-time jobs and internships - on average, three or more over the course of their four years here. But being here - in New York City - means the chance to work part time on Wall Street, to attend a conference at the United Nations, to make rounds with a doctor at a world-renowned hospital, to audition for a Broadway production, to intern at the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Associated Press or the NBA or NBC or VH-1. Whatever your professional interests demand, you can find a way to get experience in the Big Apple, and our Wasserman Center for Career Development will help you translate that experience into a satisfying career after graduate.

And if you can tear yourself away from the city, you can participate in an NYU study abroad program. With campuses on four continents, NYU sends more students abroad than any other college or university in the country. Study abroad is the perfect opportunity to not just visit but also to live and learn in a place you've always dreamed of seeing. At NYU, opportunities abound for international study.
