The freshman application deadline for Regular Decision is changing to January 1, 2009 from January 15, 2009. (The freshman Early Decision deadline is not changing; it remains at November 1, 2008.)
Effective this year, NYU will no longer publish our own paper application for admission. We encourage students to apply online, but those who would prefer to use a paper application should use the paper version of the Common Application.
Our policy concerning transfer credit for high school students who are taking college-level courses while in high school is changing. We will no longer grant credit for college courses that also satisfy high school graduation requirements.
We are adding a new bachelor's degree program in our Arts and Science area - Global Liberal Studies - that will include significant study abroad opportunities.
Our Leonard N. Stern School of Business is adding a new bachelor's degree program - Business and Political Economy - which will combine courses in business, economics, and politics with three full semesters of global study.
Our popular General Studies Program - our two-year liberal arts curriculum that enables students to seamlessly transition to our four-year programs - has a new name: Liberal Studies Program.
